3 funny videos

1.) Falling asleep in the car

2.) Playing with daddy's fishing pole

3.) Dancing with a bunny (We saved the best for last!)

Enjoy! Have I mentioned before that Miss Addie G is a ham? :)

Spring cleaning

This is how we clean sometimes. Ha! :)

This was taken from Jeremy's phone so it is a little blurry. More pics and funny videos to come. Happy Monday! I wish everyone got a spring break because I'm ready for a vacation! :)

12 mon. pics in the park---LOTS of them!

Chad took pictures of us and Addie for her 1 year pictures in the park. He hasn't edited any of them yet (some are too dark or light--thanks to how bright it was outside--not that I am complaining), but here are a few of our favorites. Let us know your favorites. There are sooo many good ones to choose from! I actually picked about 20 out over 200. Chad took these in about 20 minutes. It's a lot different than she was at 6 months old since she won't hardly look at the camera anymore and she is occupied by so many other things. But still they really capture her personality: happy, social, curious and independent. She doesn't like to crawl in the grass so she actually was contained to the blanket (so rare...I need to think of a way to recreate that at home!). Thanks, Chad! You are so talented for this just being a hobby!

Afterward Jeremy got adventurous and made sushi for the first time at home for me, Chad, Leigh and himself, of course. Not bad for the first time. I give the man credit for trying new things.

P.S. As you can see Addie still has this exploring of her mouth, tongue and teeth thing going on.

P.P.S. "Auntie Amanda"--do you like her outfit?

Goof Ball!

We've had a lot going on the past couple of weeks. Last week Addie had an allergic reaction to her antibiotic (from the strep), we think. Tuesday I picked her up from daycare and her legs were really swollen, red and warm to touch. I immediately called the doctor. They told me to stop her medicine and to give her Benadryl. Wednesday the hives started to come out. We took her to the doctor that afternoon. By Thursday morning she didn't look like the same girl. The saddest part was she didn't want to crawl. She would try a little bit but it was obvious that the hives were bothering her. By Saturday she was back to normal. We hope that this doesn't happen again. It really scared me. Poor thing!

This week we have enjoyed the beautiful weather outside with walks, a trip to the park and having the windows open! Jeremy and I sat by our firepit for the first time since the fall on Monday night. It was nice.

Addie is into everything right now! Her favorite thing to do is pulling things out of anything...laundry basket, drawers, cabinets, toy box, etc. I'll post a video later. In the mornings she pulls everything out of the vanity while we get ready. Sometimes she puts things back, but that isn't quite as fun. She still is not walking and we are in no hurry. She is fast enough by her crawl/scoot. She is starting to cruise a bit. She says more words now--daddy and mama! She rarely says "mama" though. She constantly points at things and tries to talk to us. Addie still constantly has us laughing. See the pictures below.

Enjoy what is left of this beautiful weather!

Addie is a big girl. She is in a new car seat now. She didn't know what to think at first. She kept looking at the dashboard because she hadn't really seen it before. It was funny! This is right after we got it.

This is Addie during the middle of her hives episode. Look how swollen her fingers are!

This is her Thursday morning. She doesn't even look like our little Addison! Poor thing!

Climbing the stairs at Aunt Jenny and Uncle Anthony's house. We don't have stairs in our house so this was a "first". She wanted to do it all night. (She has been doing this with her tongue a lot lately.)

I didn't really want to post this, but I couldn't resist. Addie absolutely loves playing with the laundry, especially when I am folding it. I think she may think she is helping. Addie was playing with our socks and underwear when I was trying to fold the laundry. This is what she ended up looking like while playing.

Can we say "ham" or what? She acts like this is not a big deal.

There's that tongue again. We think she is cutting another tooth.

Introducing our new nephew

On Sunday, March 8th, Jenny and Anthony (Jeremy's brother) had their beautiful baby boy, Layton Anthony Angermeier. He weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz. and was 19.5 inches. We're so happy for them! We're excited to have a nephew in town. Our nephew, Dylan, lives in Florida and our nieces live in Evansville. Everyone is doing well so far. Layton squeals like a pig! He also got kicked out of the nursery in the hospital (just like Addie because she was too loud) so it must run in the genes of Jeremy's family!

Our new nephew...Layton Anthony Angermeier!

Looking for cousin Layton in the nursery just hours after he was born.

Addie was more interested in her dad's burrito than visiting her new cousin.

Visiting our little nephew. What a proud uncle!

Addie isn't quite old enough to know to be gentle. She really wanted to touch (or hit!) Layton's face. We have a feeling one day he'll get her back.

Prayers needed!

Our best friends Tara and Brad had a beautiful baby boy, Cole Bradley, on Monday, March 9th. He has Pulmonary Hypertension and is currently in the NICU. Right now he is on a ventilator so his lungs can heal. They have created a blog so you can keep up with them and Cole's health. We know they would appreciate prayers and support right now. Please pray for Cole that he may get stronger every minute so the doctors can begin to reduce some medications and so he can eventually breather on his own. Also pray for peace and comfort for Brad and Tara (and pray for their little boy, Brady, too) as they deal with ups and downs everyday.

We love you, Brad and Tara! We wish we could be there! We're praying hard...

P.S. It's been a crazy week! More updates later including pictures of our new nephew, Layton!

Birthday Par-tay

Last Sunday we celebrated Addie's birthday with family and friends. Jeremy was very sick. He got sick on Saturday morning (a day after I was finally feeling like myself) and could hardly get out of bed. I've never seen him that sick. We both haven't been this sick since before we were married. I guess that is what happens when a little one brings home germs from daycare. Jeremy managed to come for most of the party but stood at a distance. So sad! We still had a great time celebrating our daughter's first year 0f life.

The cake eating was very anti-climatic. Addie was so dainty and prim and proper. It was cute and funny! I think using the church's high chair didn't help because there was a big gap between her chest and the tray. She spent a lot of time picking off crumbs from her lap. Jeremy's sister, Tiffany, made the cake and it was delicious! We ate, opened presents and visited. It was a great afternoon.

I took Addie to the doctor on Monday for her one year check-up. Addie had been a little fussy before then and somewhat at the doctor's office. She ended up testing positive for strep. Ugh. She actually has acted pretty well despite having strep throat. She acted fine at her party and on Monday morning. I think we caught it early. Everything else looked good. Addie weighed 19 lbs. 5 oz. (20%) and was 29 in. (50%).

My birthday was Tuesday. Jeremy stayed home with Addie since she couldn't go to daycare and he still wasn't feeling great. They both were feeling better last night. Jeremy and I had sushi (yummy) and he gave me roses (ahh!). It was a nice evening despite our circumstances.

Enjoy the pictures and videos below from the birthday celebrations. Hope you have a great week! We're disinfecting this house and praying for SPRING! :)

Jeremy was so sick he didn't want to touch her. They were pointing to each other. Pretty cute!

S
"Why is everyone singing to me?"

She picked off all the little flowers one-by-one and ate them. So dainty!

She grabbed a big hunk and we thought she was then going to shove the whole piece in her mouth. Instead she just took bites from the piece. Such a princess!

"This is pretty good!"

"Try some of this Uncle Dave"

In her new wagon from Grammy and Grandpa

"Thanks Aunt Jenny and Uncle Anthony for the tambourine. My parents are going to love this!"

Although he was sick Jeremy still had a sense of humor. We wanted Chad to take a picture of us and Chad said, "Let's take it up against the wall." Very funny, Jeremy.

The best picture we could get...Jeremy sick and Addie more interested in her ribbon. :)

She absolutely HATED the party hat! Our birthday girl...
The first video is from Addie's daycare party, the next two are from the party and the last is with her favorite balloon (you also get to see her gimp crawl). :)
